"Check in at 3pm but you can rest at the lounge area for drinks and ice cream. Walking to the Torri gate takes about 10-12min but lots of interesting shops to browse thru. The magnificent Torri gate is definitely worth seeing and you can go out at low tide. The miyajima JR ferry terminal is just across the hotel which made access easy. Dinner at hotel was buffet style , not say plenty food options but most items are done well. Same about breakfast too. You will not regret taking a room facing...

"Stayed overnight whilst on Miyajima and had the Kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast included. The room was a traditional Japanese style with the futon beds made up for you after having dinner in your room. We had an ocean view room with large windows allowing you to enjoy the view. The staff were superb, friendly and very attentive. The dinner was beautiful and delicious, we were lucky to visit during oyster season, the deep fried oysters were particularly nice. "One of the best and most unique places I’ve ever stayed. A beautiful old townhouse in the heart of Miyajima within walkable distance of the famous Torii gate. The owner is a sushi master who prepared a stunning omekase sushi dinner for us. I’d recommend staying here and making sure to get the dinner option! "
