"We loved our stay here. The room was spacious with the most beautiful hot tub and comfortable beds. The pillows were super bouncy and it was like a home away from home. It was so close to locals and encouraged us to explore side streets and local restaurants. We found the best Indian Curry house tucked away and hidden. We used buses and walked. Only 1km walk to township and mall. It’s not located near the main tourist attractions, but only a few bus rides/ train rides away. Taxi and Uber are super cheap. Around $9 NZD to get back from town if we needed too, due to heavy shopping bags. Theres lots of convenience stores and a lovely spacious grocery store in the lower mall. We would come back here in a heartbeat. Thank you :-). "

"Hotel spa and lotus was a beautiful stay and location. We didn't realise at the time of booking that it was a "love hotel" but that didn't make it any less special, it is very respectful, clean and relaxing. There was plenty of toiletries, shamppoo, conditioner, body wash, facial wash, moisturiser, toothbrushes, hairbrush hair clips, razors, cotton pads and cotton buds. There is a beautiful spa bath with bubble bath and salts. There is a big tv where you can login to your own Netflix or Youtube and in our room there was also a massage chair, perfect after a lot of walking every day. We havd a complimentary breakfast and beverage every day with a choice of japanese or western breakfast There was great room service menu with one complimentary drink a day and a fully stocked, reasonably priced mini bar. The staff were very friendly and acoomodating. You give your key before leaving every day so they can clean the room. There is a lovely rooftop bath that you can book for personal use, you can use a pool table, darts and karaoke. there are complimentary sweets and bath salts and kimonos you can wear in reception. there is a train station about 10 minutes walk from the hotel with links to Kyoto where you can get trains to everywhere and is a bustling town with lots to see and do. We got taxis occasionally with the GO app which arrives within 5 minutes of booking for rainy days and when we couldnt get our head around the transport links "
