"Nice heritage village, which we explored during our stay. The view from the restaurant was fantastic and the breakfast delicious. Room had basic facilities."
"Very relaxing hotel. The rooms with direct pool access are amazing and the large pools and beach area offer a great location to unwind.
The service was excellent throughout the stay. "
"the hotel and facilities are great but i wouldnt describe the area exactly as tourist friendly. If you have your own transportation its a great location as it isnt far from the airport"
"We had a balcony room over looking the shores of Agia Pelagia and Ligaria beaches.
The resort pool was a great place for a quiet afternoon. The poolside eatery was excellent, serving a great breakfast.
I would not hesitate to book again."

"Everything about this hotel was excellent from beginning to end. Check-in and check-out were smooth and convenient; staff were very welcoming. Our family suite was wonderful. We even got a free upgrade to a room with an ocean view! The pools were amazing, water was clean and warm. Sun beds were always available, albeit not necessarily directly in front of the pool in the first row. We didn’t mind because we were travelling with our kids who are teenagers. The food at the buffet was varied, plentiful and delicious. We ate at Imperial Sakura and Kafeino and had a fantastic meal served to us each time. The snack bars also offer a diverse selection from the coveted gyros to burgers and sandwiches, salads, pizza, and fish. Yes, there are a lot of stairs at the hotel and yes, you do have to walk down and up a small hill to get to the ocean beaches. For someone with limited mobility, this may be an issue. Otherwise, we took it as great exercise, even in the Cretan heat and sunshine! Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we would not hesitate to recommend the Belverdere to others. "
"Right across from the port so east access when getting off the ferry. Very clean and nice- great staff. Easy to walk to restaurants and many tours will pick up from the location. "
"The property is very well maintained and the staff are excellent. The food and beverage manager in particular is one of the hardest working hotel staff members we have ever seen! There is a great variety of food at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with items labeled for allergens, which is very much appreciated for guests with food allergies. The Taverna by the beach is a casual, relaxing place to have lunch. The beach is large and there are enough loungers to accommodate guests. Overall, we would highly recommend this resort, especially for families with younger or older children."
"Really great hotel in the heart of Heraklion. Very convenient to the port and the airport. Staff was very nice and went over and above; we were leaving before breakfast so they made breakfast bags for us and sent us on our way. Highly recommend. "
"Lovely property. Excellent swim up rooms and clean hotel with good selection of drinks. Our only honest criticism would be the quality of buffet food and range of Greek food which was lacking. The kids pool is substandard and not to the same quality as the pools and facilities elsewhere. Other than that, we had a lovely time and would still return. "
