"The property has been updated and is well maintained. The location is ideal. It us quiet and relaxing. The only suggestion would be to have a few small restaurants on the propertty. Perhaps a small souvenir shop would be a good idea as well. "

"We had a fantastic stay at Sonesta Ocean Point. The property was gorgeous and the food was all delicious and there was plenty to do. And the staff was very kind and attentive, always asking if there was anything we needed. If I were ever to return to St. Martin, I would definitely stay there again. The only 2 issues were not having any hot water one of the days and there were some tiny ants on the floor of our room, not hundreds but maybe a couple dozen real small ones. I just assumed that was part of the environment that you can't really get rid of in the tropics."

"This was my first time out of the country. My birthday trip was amazing. It was a great experience for me being only 26. Everyone was welcoming all the way down to the other guest. It was mostly an older crowd but I did not mind they were still a VIBE. My room was the beach front room. The other rooms are a little more updated but no complaints here. The taxi services are very helpful. Try to explore the island like my cousin and I did. The food was amazing and I really enjoyed the pool side bar. "

"It is in a remote location, so a car is necessary for transportation. However, I appreciate the tranquility and serenity of the area."

"A true piece of paradise! My best friend and I visited La Playa for a girls trip for three days and wish we stayed longer. The staff at La Playa are all very friendly, professional, positive and helpful. Room was clean and exactly as described/seen in the photos. La Playa is located within steps to the downtown of Orient Bay where you have many great dining options. The beach and beach service is to die for! Cannot wait to return. "
