"Our stay at Reid 's Palace was nothing short of exquisite! From the moment we stepped onto the property, until we departed, we experienced only the finest of service and accommodation. We were on the first 3 days of our honeymoon and every moment was memorable. The views - the twinkling lights at dusk, the lovely breakfasts ... I could go on and on. We received lovely handwritten notes of congratulations on beautiful stationery, and a bottle of champagne beautifully presented in an ice bucket. Turndown service each evening was thorough and meticulous. These are wonderful "throw-back" touches from another era, yet everything felt authrntic and genuine! "Great hotel in Machico! We booked a few nights here to get away from Funchal but still be close to hiking and the airport. This hotel was perfect! A short walk to a small beach and a the few restaurants nearby were great! The breakfast was also good, highly recommend!"
