"Regarding cleanliness, in general the cottage was very clean (i.e. kitchen, bedrooms, baths spotless), however there was a pet odor that pervaded the place. It led us to avoid the sitting room area and we booked other stays this trip at venues that did not permit pets. Regarding service - instructions were e-mailed regarding the cottage heating being on a timer, however, during two of the evenings of our stay the heat did not kick on. "The castle is set in a beautiful estate and has many facilities such as sauna, pool and equestrian centre. our room was very clean and comfortable and near to the bistro where we had our evening meal and a delicious breakfast the next morning. the receptionist was very helpful and we even met the owner of the castle who showed us around the main restaurant. "Great service at front desk and I'm the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Food was terrific. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with good views. They could improve lighting and heating / cooling / ventilation in the rooms. "
