"Lovely, helpful staff for all of my visit. Being in a wheelchair and travelling alone can be difficult but the staff here were there to assist with everything. This hotel has a long history and personally I’d rather stay somewhere like this. Would highly recommend"

"Excellent stay and room was good, stayed on 2nd floor and 5th floor and the difference between the rooms was hugely noticeable, 5th floor looked like it had been refurbished where as the room on the 2nd floor was still outstanding and not as nice "

"Lovely friendly staff during our stay. Nice pool facilities, didn't use the gym but it looked well stocked. Food was nice, especially the breakfast and nothing was too much to organise for us. Garage parking was easy to locate and property is near to shopping areas and more pubs and restaurants. Would stay again."

"Overall, this was an excellent stay. We booked for a couple of nights so we could attend a family celebration locally and it was very handy and very comfortable. The setting is lovely and our apartment was excellent, having more facilities than we expected (dishwasher and washing machine) and possibly the biggest bathroom of any hotel room we have ever stayed in! The only (very minor niggle) was that the shower head dripped incessantly - even when we checked that it had been switched off properly, there was a drip. Apart from that, we we very happy and are considering coming back to make the most of a “proper” stay where we can explore the area better."
