"Great location for a place to stay in Kyoto. We loved how close to the train station it was for day trips in the area. The breakfast buffet was great with a good variety of both Japanese and western options for a reasonable price. The room was small (which we expected for Japan) but had all of the necessities needed for our stay. The only complaint was the shower was extremely cramped for my husband who is 5’10”. "Mikayo Hotel in Kyoto is a fantastic choice for travelers! Its location right across the street from Kyoto Station makes it incredibly convenient for getting around, and it's next door to a mall with a wide variety of shops and food options. The rooms are a good size, offering comfort after a day of exploring. It's the perfect base for sightseeing, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"One of my favourite hotels of all time. Beautiful and clean rooms with Tatami mats, although it is a bit small. The room really felt premium. Basement had access to free soft drinks, coffee, tea, ice cream, and small snacks. Paid laundry machines are available 24/7 and you can check the status and remaining time on all machines on your rooms TV. Only thing is it does not do a great job at drying. Location-wise it is close to the subway and has a bus stop nearby that takes you to the downtown area. Staff is friendly. Would love to stay here again!"
