"Came back to Santhiya after 6 years since we liked the property so much on our last visit. The views are still spectacular, the rooms and facilities luxurious. A few things have seem to gone downhill though and I hope the management addresses them: - Food was below average taste wise, especially when ordered for in-room dining - in-room dining came in takeaway utensils (plastic), if you wanted cutlery, you needed to pay extra - this is a cheap move (and certainly not eco friendly!). "This is not 5 star hotel as advertised. It is 3 star hotel at most. The location is good, probably best on the island, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The rooms are noisy because of thin walls and breakfast is rather poor. If you want fresh eggs prepare to wait about 20 min. The area is not cleaned properly and guests are not very friendly. "Lovely Resort! The staff are so kind and accommodating! You can rent a scooter from the resort , so cheap and explore the island. Breakfast was included and average but yummy! The dining options for lunch and supper are Thai and western, very good! Nice clean rooms and if you get a room without an attached pool you can use the pool at the resort on the beach down below!
