Lovely, historic Key West guesthouse. No kids, small quiet pool, continental breakfast. Rooms small, but adequate. Could use a refresh of paint and sprucing up, but otherwise clean and quiet. 1block from the free Duvall Loop bus. About 20 -25 minute walk to Duvall St. Very safe. Concierge Roman very helpful and pleasant. I would not rent a car … parking is very bad. Not luxury, but I would recommend and I would return.

We spent one night at this location during our road trip, and it was perfect! The location was great and quiet, allowing us to enjoy a restful night’s sleep. Everything was clean, and the staff were friendly and communicative. Although we arrived a bit late, we had no trouble arranging a check-in after 5 PM. We will definitely be back and plan to stay longer next time!

Horel Heron is in a great location, close to restaurants, bars, shopping and other must see locations. The staff is wonderful, informative and care about tgeir guests. I would definitely stay there again!

Charming historic property with very comfortable room that is very walkable and a short walk to ferry terminal. Entire staff, and Roman in particular, were tremendously helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable and provide great recommendations on places to eat and things to do.

Pool dirty. AC in our room did not work properly. Also no cups in our room for water. Very limited after 5 access to front desk staff if you need anything after hours there appears to be a 50$ charge for assistance. Also a 25$ daily resort fee for something we still cannot figure out that is charged to everyone automatically. No access to early am coffee- nothing in room to make coffee. Also very limited outlets in room.

Heron House is in a great location, staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast was satisfying for us, nice outside sitting areas with a little pool. Overall, our room was nice; just a small note of a very low toilet in our room, probably more appropriate for six-year-old height, and we are not tall people. That being said, this is our second year staying here and we hope to return. We definitely recommend the Heron House.

The highlights: The property is located in a great area - walkable to multiple restaurants and shops and like 12 minutes to Duvall street. It’s also quiet and was relatively easy for us to find parking for our rental car. It was clean, yet slightly old fashioned giving it a southern charm. The front desk was nice and very helpful. The down side: our room constantly had flies. We started with one and went out for a few hours and came back and there were FIVE. None of our windows were open. The front desk did spray and provided us with a can of raid to use throughout our stay but we still had flies when we’d return to our room. You could see around the air conditioning unit there were openings which I assume is where they were coming in. We also had an issue with our safe requiring maintenance to come and unlock it. Also if you’re someone that needs a lot of space just know that there’s not a lot of space to put things in the room so it will feel crowded.
