"Made a last minute trip up north for the ice castles, found a room here at the Lodge. It’s up the road a little bit from the actual Common Man, so we stopped at the original for dinner and then drove to our room. Staff was friendly, easy parking. Seems like it used to be another brand of hotel, then converted to CM decor. "

"I had actually made the wrong night reservation. I booked for Sunday somehow and I really wanted Saturday showed up on Saturday and the manager quickly change the appointment over. Didn’t have to pay any extra money. They were super nice. The property there is amazing. It’s like the entire downtown, Meredith basically. Definitely a cool spot. Would recommend to anyone any time of the year it’s beautiful "

"Beautiful resort. Clean quiet. the staff is amazing everywhere you go. Friendly, and willing to help or answer questions. Be careful driving there. Pay attention to signs so you don't get lost on unpaved, desolate back roads. South 2 bedroom is lovely. amazing view. Nicely stocked kitchen, comfy beds with clean linen. have to request more towel and supplies as it is skimpy and bring your own toiletries. the soap is like a piece of cardboard and a tiny bit of shampoo. "There was ice all over the front porch to get in to check in. The tub was dirty plus the thing to switch from tub to shower was broke. Couldn’t have breakfast because it was in the office that did not open until 9 or 10 am. "

Breakfast had hot and cold options, waffle makers with different flavors - big hit with the kids. Everything was tasty. It snowed at night and we were pleased that the staff cleaned our car in the morning. "

"Beautiful resort. Clean quiet. the staff is amazing everywhere you go. Friendly, and willing to help or answer questions. Be careful driving there. Pay attention to signs so you don't get lost on unpaved, desolate back roads. South 2 bedroom is lovely. amazing view. Nicely stocked kitchen, comfy beds with clean linen. have to request more towel and supplies as it is skimpy and bring your own toiletries. the soap is like a piece of cardboard and a tiny bit of shampoo. No elevators, so its a pain lugging everything in and out. The pool is quite the pool! Huge, clean, nice changing rooms, staff available. Just crazy with kids and bad behavior. It seems the staff is very liberal with what goes on at the pool. Kids are running wild, jumping off things, screaming, throwing balls, in the hot tub, drinking and eating is allowed also. Can't say enough about the lovely staff. so kind and friendly and a lot of them. The restaurant is very nice. Buffet was great. homemade food. Delicious and service is great. Restaurant is not very big and we could not get in for dinner on a Friday night. The property has everything you could think of for winter fun and it's a wonderful get away for families."
