Makoto, Ana, and Karen are the nicest staff ever, we extended out stay multiple days because we met other amazing people staying at this hostel and became very familiar with Kamakura. Kamakura should be a multi-day trip and you should definitely stay at Iza Kamakura House if you want a really comfortable and laid back place to stay. "

"The up side is that the property is a lovely, cozy apartment that is equipped with everything that one would need to be comfortably self-sufficient. The down side is that one must be self-suffient. Given the fact that it is located in an average Japanese neighborhood and not close to any hotel zone, there are no eateries in the area and all food has to be brought in from elsewhere and/ or prepared on site.
