"I booked the room with balcony. Good size clean room. Bathroom has being renovated. Balcony is good place to sit and enjoy wine and watch river flow by. Continental breakfast was good. Has cold cut meat, freshly baked bread, hard boiled eggs, etc. Note hotel is on the other side of Cochem town. It is 10 to 15 mins walk to Cochem proper. Also if you are coming by train, station is 15 to 20 min walk. "

"Beautiful location overlooking the Mosel River. Park the car in the public lot and walk about 300 meters to the hotel. Room key is in the lockbox and easy to access once you have the code. We had breakfast at the restaurant located down the street from the hotel and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the Weihnachten Festival just down the street from the hotel (100 meters). "

"A very friendly and well kept hotel with a fantastic kitchen and some lovely wines, as you might expect from a hotel in the Mosel. We dined in on 2 nights out of three and had very well prepared local food. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My only minor criticism is that their ability to deal with credit and debit cards was iffy. That said, we were able to settle our bill without having to resort to cash. "

"The location and views were incredible! Our room was lovely; very clean, comfortable and charming. and there was so much care and detail for our 5 year old: special sheep sheets, a kids dining set for breakfast- it really made her feel special. Breakfast was delicious, and the stocked fridge to purchase beer or wine was really nice in the evening after we put our little one to sleep - we had a beer on our balcony looking up at the castle and out to the river. We will definitely need to return! "

"This is a large hotel but when we arrived there was no sign of life. Eventually, we found a guy cutting the grass who phoned his boss and managed to get the key. The restaurant was closed too so we had to go elsewhere to find a meal which could have been tricky in this rather remote location. However we did find a restaurant only about 15 minutes away. Our room at the hotel was clean and spacious. Next morning our friend on the lawn mower had laid on an excellent breakfast and we were sorry that...

"Great choice for an overnight stop driving further south, but next time, would like to stop for 3 nights to take advantage of the hotel bikes and cycle up and down the Mosel. Lovely sunny terrace for drinks and to eat our evening meal, and the breakfast was splendid."
