"In general our stay in the Gran Hotel Birmingham could’ve been better. The overall experience was nice, hotel still in good condition, but the service wasn’t not as good as excepted. Tiny blood shades on bed sheet, as well as hair. The fire alarm went off as a test but no one noticed us. Someone tried to open my room door in the morning while I was talking on the phone, later knocked twice while I was in the bathroom. Guests’ privacy need to be respected, thanks a lot. "

"The hotel was in a great location for our event, and a nice part of Birmingham (jewellery quarter). Check in was straightforward, staff were friendly and I was upgraded to an "apartment" which was clean and well appointed. My only issue was that the rooms didn't seem to be very well sound insulated because the people in the room above kept me awake until 1:30 because I could clearly hear their talking. Clever use of an app to allow access to the hotel, lift and room, instead of a key. "
