"There are amenities necessary and special (face pack, eye pack) and everything was placed in the right spot!! Green tea and roasted black soybean coffee were great. The hotel is at very convenient location. Only challenge was that it was a bit hard to control the room temperature. It was not necessary to use AC, but the room were getting warm during the night. "

"The space had great AC. And wonderfully Heated floors. The tatami mats were nice. Very spacious and comfortable. The onsen provided a great hot bath experience with much needed relaxation after the long hikes to the shrines. The location is very central and easy to get around and can comfortably sleep 8. "Great hotel in the heart of Gion. Walkable to just about everything, or a quick walk to a train to everything else. Hotel was clean, staff was kind, amenities available as needed. Only thing to note is that the laundry machines on the 6th floor have a hard time drying well, so we left with some damp luggage. Not a huge deal but worth a call out if you need to do laundry on your trip."

"Loved the comfort in this hotel, beds and pillows were amazing. They provided pajama set which was so comfortable that we ended up buying it. Breakfast (western) was very nice with plenty of non-meat options. Japanese breakfast was sold out on both mornings we had breakfast there. Neat and clean room/bathroom, nice modern hotel (cinema room was very spacious). Would love to stay there again."

"Perfect location in Gion, easy walking distance to convenient bus stops and subway stops, as well as many restaurants/shops. The Shirakawa river was so relaxing to watch. From our room, we could see cranes, turtles and large fish! Excellent decor with art and beautiful lighting, incredibly spacious (3 stories, all with full bath) with nice amenities (coffee/tea, pajamas/robe, umbrellas, laundry!, rooftop deck) and all rooms/floors had separate lockable entry code. I had only minor quibbles...

"The location was great, easy 5 min walk to subway and bus. Only 15 mins to market and shopping. The room was comfortable and a good size for Japanese standards. It is nice to have a kitchenette and there was free water. We only received 1 towel each and had to ask for extra towels which was not a problem. I asked for an extra pillow and they did not have any, that is a first and very unfortunate since it made my sleeping less comfortable."
