They were very friendly and helpful. The whole staff spoke English! They took care of all of our needs! Also after joining the loyalty program. They let us check in couple of hours early and check out late at no cost! Very nice of them to that for us!

My stay at the Oakwood Hotel Oike Kyoto was excellent. The location was a short walk to multiple shopping streets, food spots and subway lines. We were able to grab a coffee and pastry on a 20 minute walk over to Nijo Castle in the morning before check out.

The hotel located closed by all the shopping streets and Nishiki Market. You can go the downtown Kyoto in walking distance. There is a local public bath right around the corner. The staffs were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet had enough choices considered this is a boutique hotel with exceptional price. Will definitely go back. Thank you

This was a great property, in a wonderful location in Kyoto. It was easily accessible to bus, train and metro travel and also walkable to many places such as Nijo Castle, the Gion district, Nishiki Market. Spoiled for choice as far as places to eat being close. The staff are quiet and kind, I was really impressed with the breakfast room staff who were friendly and on top of keeping everything fresh and tidy. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly also. Breakfast was very nice, enough options and some different options daily. It was nice to have access to free drinks through the day too. My room was spacious and so comfortable. The beds, linens and pajamas were soft and very clean. My room was spotless and had everything I could need. The shower was the best ever, I will miss it! Overall, my stay was awesome and I highly recommend this hotel. I hope I can stay again one day.

The rooms were okay but the staff though helpful seemed to not really know there jobs. They sent my luggage ahead and never put a label on it so it never arrived at my next destination. That seemed like a rookie move. I don’t think I would stay there again.

Nice hotel that’s rather spacious for Japanese standards. Service staff were helpful and detailed oriented. Only issue is one of the staff accidentally tucked one of my pants under a new blanket during housekeeping, causing some unnecessary alarm. Thankfully I found it eventually.
