Room 205 did not have a view of the pool or ocean. It had bugs. It has been the worst stay I’ve experienced this far, in Galveston. I didn’t have the breakfast or use the pool. Only reason I stayed was because I brought my pet and I didn’t want the challenge of trying to find a last minute place to stay. I do recommend Doc Holidays, next door. Good service, great food and happy hour.

The hotel staff were friendly. The breakfast was decent. However, the room wasn’t very clean, especially the bathroom and the room was very musky. There were little bugs around the room. The housekeeper didn’t come the second day even though we booked it with the front desk.

The room itself was very average which was fine it was just a quick stay. When we walked in however the room was FREEZING so we turned the AC temp up which seemed like a good idea but it ended up creating a ton of humidity to the point that all of our suitcases, bedding, and carpet were soaking wet. The tile became a slip and slide and everything felt gross and dirty. Mind you the temp was only turned to 72 from like 68 so crazy to have that much wetness. Had to turn the AC way back down to uncomfortable temp just to make it through the night. Definitely would not ever stay at this hotel again. Also pretty noisy. You could hear people talking outside your room like they were inside and a ton of birds that sounded like we were in a rainforest (out of their control and the least of my issue), which I guess was somewhat fitting for the humidity smothering wetness we had inside the room. Very musty gross smell.

The rooms where it tearable condition the ceiling tooked to have black mold that was painted over the first room they put us it the ceiling was so bad it was literally falling apart and all over the bed had to be moved to a different room

The ceiling was full of moisture, the bathroom was dirty, and overall the hotel needs maintenance. It's not like it looks in the pictures. The location is the only redeeming quality. Staff is nice too.
