"The location is absolutely stunning, the welcome is warm and the house cat is gorgeous - and Queen of this particular castle. The hotel is beautiful but also quirky. Our room, the Emperor room was nicely decorated in dark green with a big antique cupboard. There’s a lovely view, only very slightly obscured by the conservatory. "Hotel was okay. In need of fefurbishment but was clean and had everything we required. Food in the Bistro was very nice, service was okay but slow migth have been due to wedding on in hotel. Room was okay again getting a bit tired and in need of a refresh. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy with everything needed. One main complaint was a lot of mould on bathroom ceiling, due to inactive fan. Breakfast each morning was good and pleantyful with attentive service."
