"Visited on a weekend getaway from Los Angeles to visit our UCSB daughter. Loved the hotel. On the newish side but starting to show a little age. Really close to UCSB, across from a Target and kitty corner from an outdoor mall area with shopping and restaurants. Spacious lobby with modern amenities. Breakfast is served but there is a charge. "Check-in was easy and smooth. The lady who helped me was very polite and nice. We didn't use any of the gym, pool, or other amenities but we were fine in our room and my dog was happy. The Doggie bags and trash bins outside the building were nice. A few homeless people yelling spooked me and the dog while we were out. The sliding door for the bathroom/closet was not secured so my husband smashed his finger while closing the door. The stopper on the rail needs to be moved so it won't slide too...
