Disney's Maingate East hotel rooms a the Independent

"The property and room was exactly as pictured. The location was great, only a 15 minute drive to Disney and I felt very safe. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the breakfast, especially the Mickey waffles and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My daughter loved the beautiful pool and playground area which included a bounce house. They do not change the sheets or make the beds daily, but we did get fresh towels and the garbage emptied every day. Be aware that...

"The room was fine other than some type of roach/bug but we only saw one downstairs so we didn’t panic too much. What really upset me was the fact that they KNEW their water park would be down for maintenance during our stay and rather than notify us in advance, they let us know at NOON on the DAY OF OUR ARRIVAL.
