"Wonderful hotel, big room with very big bathroom, big surprise was the tv built into the wall at the end of the bath. Room was really clean and had everything we needed. Had no problem getting extra coffe and milk, just asked at reception and they got me them straight away. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choices. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This is now our go to hotel whenever we are going to Scarborough to stay."

"I had a single room and, as usual, for most single travellers, it was tucked away as an afterthought. I understand that the integrity of the building needs to be maintained but there was a massive crack in the upper pane of the window in the bedroom and a gap between the sashes that let in blasts of cold air. The window in the bedroom also had a gap between sashes that I could put my hand through and it didn't seem possible to close the windows. There was also a very large crack in the bathroom sink. I know everyone is economising but one sachet of caffeinated coffee in the room - seriously. I loved the hotel and the position but wouldn't want to stay again if being a solo traveller felt like being a second. Lass citizen. The reception staff were very friendly & helpful. Thank you "

"We have used Penny Hedge for a nunber of years now and always have an enjoyable stay."

"Only fault we had during our stay was the heating on all the time. It was 2° outside but had trouble sleeping as was so warm. Apart from that the service & room was perfect for our stay. Will definitely stay again."
