Hotels with shuttle in Mauritania

"Do make sure you confirm your reservation with the hotel. I had to send to send a friend to the hotel to physically confirm my reservation before I arrived in Mauritania. Do expect check in to take anywhere from two to five hours. We waited an hour and a half for checkin because electricity was down. We found many families who have been waiting for hours for check in. Electricity and internet went down more than three times when we were at the hotel for a week’s stay. Do not expect good customer service, the staff are poorly trained and unprofessional. The hotel is on a beautiful beach, but the beach and the hotel’s own front yard are littered with plastic and garbage. The rooms are beautiful and clean, with massive closets and decent restrooms. However, the water sometimes goes off, there is hardly any hot water, and the water pressure is very weak. There are massive cockroaches and bugs that sometimes make their way into the hotel. The pool is sometimes filled with floating dead bugs and creatures. All in all, it’s a hotel with great potential. They have the facilities to be great. They just aren’t managed well. "
