"Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. "The package was sold with a pool being taken out of service. There was also construction to repair a pool and build a pool. I allready paid for the trip and didn’t have enough funds to book a second trip. So I went hoping for the best. The beach is tiny and is there are gangs running an unsafe seafood experience. They rented a seafood to me without the plug in it hoping I would sink it it took on water and thankfully I am a mechanic and have been on the ocean my whole life I was able to beach...

"Beautiful views. Staff is excellent. Food was average. Had shrimp and beef kebabs on bbq night, the beef was too tough to chewy. The property manager substituted chicken breast that was cut too thin, tough and dry. I was not offered any compensation. The food was my only complaint. Plenty of other places to eat. "

"I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Cala Del Mar. I cannot wait to return. It was the most romantic and luxurious stay I could have ever imagined and I have traveled all of the world and stayed in some incredible places. We came for our honeymoon and everyone there made it so special. I don't think I have ever felt that relaxed in my entire life. The rooms, the private infinity pool, the food, drinks and special amenities were just stunning. The margaritas were INCREDIBLE....
