"Excellent location, it's right next to the metro station and the park. Everyone was friendly and welcoming—the receptionist, concierge staff, and the cleaner. I had parcels delivered to the hotel, and they were very kind, taking them to my room and disposing of the packaging for me. The bellman helped carry my heavy luggage during check-out, which I greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again next time."

"There's a metro entrance just next to the hotel. There are a number of local eateries nearby e.g. there's a comfortable Nan Cheng Xiang outlet just across the hotel where we had cheap and good local breakfast (opens 6am), so we didn't need to hv hotel breakfast at all. Hotel concierge Eric gave great service and arranged tours for us. We communicated via WeChat before arrival and he booked entrance and train tickets for us, and we only pay him after we arrive . "Good location next to East Nanjing Pedestrian Rd. 5 minutes walk to Line 2 Metro Station which is the main line to the airports. I stay there every year when i visit Shanghai."

"I had stayed here several times before renovation which they apparently did during the pandemic. The categories of rooms have changed so I am not sure of the comparison but basically everything seems a bit upgraded; cleaner, with more modern fixtures and functioning better. Particularly the climate control which was previously an issue in the front rooms with large windows apparently is working well now. As before the staff are friendly and helpful. "More can be done for the cleanliness. There were a few stains on towels. Floor was carpeted but you can see that the edges and corners were not cleaned with lots of dust. However, for 3 pax, we get a big space with living room and 2 bedrooms. We like the space for the price. Nearby not many dining options but were grateful to have at least a convenience shop and a bakery downbstairs where we can get coffee and freshly-made bread and croissants."

"Old fashioned and very atmospheric. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Chinese decor in the rooms. Located at n a quiet Hutong alley between two main streets that are full of dining options. Recommended!"
