The animals around the premises were a sight to see! The food…..chefs kiss! The drinks….delicious! Would recommend and would definitely stay again! Makanda by the Sea did not disappoint! "

"The hotel was full of trees and plants and wildlife so nice. The food was good and the staff were excellent. The local bus could be caught nearby to the National Park or Quopos for under £1 and was frequent. Outside the hotel we saw sloth with baby and Tucans in the trees. Downside was that outside there were only occasionally places to walk down the road no footpaths so we chose restaurants close by during the day and taxi at night. I would go back to this hotel loved it. There is a small supermarket next door which was handy. Saw many iguana’s in the hotel plus monkeys and a leemar visiting so lovely to see"

"Hotel Yara ticks all the boxes. Exceptionally friendly, communicative and supportive staff. Speaking perfect English, the reception staff gave us lots of information to make our stay safe and interesting. Hotel Yara is highly organised, neat and efficient. We enjoyed a small kitchen space, fridge and a very comfy beds. The accommodation was lovely and clean, spacious with nice hot shower. Tasty, well presented each morning with lots of choice. Delightful outdoor space with small pools for cooling off. Lovely foliage in the outdoor space with visiting monkeys and birds. Hotel Yara is on the public bus route for Manueline Antonio National park. Buses are cheap and frequent. We would highly recommend as excellent value. Thank you for welcoming us and for taking such good care of us. "

"Great property. Would be much better if they had microwaves and coffee maker in room. Prices at the restaurant are way too expensive. Everything else is great, the location, wildlife, and beach is amazing. "
