My main objective was to ride mountain bike on the Mickelson trail, and that did not disappoint. It rained one day, so I used that opportunity to see the downtown, and also go over to Lead and visit the Sanford underground research facility museum.

We had a great time during our stay in Deadwood. Didn't know it was a gambling town, but it offered a good selection of restaurants and shops, as well as live performances of historical events from the Wild West.

This was our first trip to Deadwood. Town was quiet before the St Patricks celebration party. So much rich history but you definitely want to go after Thu-Sun if you want every store open. Can't wait to go back to see more of a bustling atmosphere

Deadwood is a small tourist trap town with very limited parking options. Everything is within walking distance with the exception of the chain hotels just outside of town. The museums are informative, and the town is clean.

Downtown Deadwood is fun and interesting. Lots and lots of motorcycles this time of year. Cool to watch, but lots of noise.
"The property was great. The only drawback was parking. We had to park on the far side of the hotel which was not convenient at all with our room on the opposite side of the facility. "
