This was my third time there. I use to stay at a different hotel in rapid but it was fully booked as was most in the area near the airport. The Grand had an opening. That was my first visit. Now when I have to fly out early or come in late, we stay at the Grand. We love that there is a kitchen, a couch. We live 150 miles away. We come to town to shop. If it gets to late or the weather is bad, we stay in town. The staff has been great.

Our room upon first entering looked very nice. However, the kitchen, including the floors and counter tops, were dirty and sticky. The entry way light was flickering off and on and a bathroom light was burned out. These items were reported to the front desk but nothing was repaired. Enjoyed our stay but not sure we will stay again, especially with the dirty sticky kitchen.

I reserved two rooms. One for Thursday to Sunday and another from Friday to Sunday. Checked in to second room on Friday and I was put in an accessible studio. I reserved one bedroom suite. The front desk lady informed me she was sorry and could give me a one free night after speaking to Expedia. I have not heard or seen an outcome on that. Showering Saturday I come to find I had no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the shower. I made do with hand soap. I asked for them to be refilled while I was out and about. Sunday morning still no refilled containers. The hotel was sold out so it was busy and the lady at the front desk was quite kind and friendly. She could use some help though. She was all the things…front desk, cleaner, breakfast attendant. Location is perfect. Quiet and close enough to all the things.

Bed was soft and the bedding only came 3/4 way to the top. Luckily I brought my own pillow and blanket. My son stayed in the “suite” there was no bedding at all, we had to ask for it. Pillows were like footballs.

Everything was 4 plus stars except the room. Maids did a horrible job cleaning it. Front office help came to room and cleaned it as they was booked full. New Manager assured me maids would be held accountable.
