"We walked in to check in and the folks were having a fight and ignored us. We did not stay and left"

"This place calls itself a Yacht Club??? What a Joke!! When we arrived our keys were in lock boxes cause they don't have on site staff after 5pm. The doors do not have dead bolts, slide bars, or chains. We did not feel safe at all. Never been to a hotel that didn't have a dead bolt or chain on their door. The restaurant had a sign on the door "permanently closed". There were no cars at all in the whole parking lot, it seemed like the place was abandoned. There were no other guests there yet room...

"Motel served it's purpose but that was about it. Beds were hard as rocks, may as well have slept on the floor. Found rat droppings under the beds. Had window AC that barely cooled the 300 sq ft room. Only opted to book due to how close in proximity to De Leon springs to be close enough to make it to the springs before capacity was hit on the 4th of July. If your looking for a comfy likely cleaner stay, this isn't it. "

"Their website says humble rooms - quite so. I hope we got the worst one in the hotel. The lobby and restaurant were clean and nice looking but the room really needs help. Could have been a fun off-the-beaten-path experience but just ended up sad."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the DeLand Hotel! The bed was super comfortable. It is an old building so there were some quirks. I loved the clawfoot tub!! It does take a couple of minutes for the hot water to get going, but it wasn't an issue. The windows in the front are old and single pane glass so there was some road noise during high traffic times. We loved the feel of the place and the bar & eatery downstairs were off the charts! All of the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Would...
