Just what we needed

"The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was fine. Nothing fancy but had everything we needed. The door was very hard to close, we had to slam it hard to shut it so that we could lock it. Being a few steps from the beach was terrific, sipping wine and looking at the lake was the perfect end to our day"

"The Point Au Roche Lodge was everything that it promised and more. The rooms were beautiful and it was very appreciated that it was dog-friendly. It was very dog-friendly, with borders between outside porches for privacy and a specific potty area clearly identified. The price for the off-season was incredibly reasonable. One of the beds in our room was broken, but I doubt the property had been made aware of it, as it had been scrabbled back together to look like it was fine, until we laid on it and it's leg collapsed along a broken joint. While our room was great, there was a family that stayed there who were loud and in the kitchen all hours of the day and night and a door in our room led straight down to the common area kitchen, so we heard them all night. Again, not the property's fault and we could have just as easily gone into the kitchen to say something respectfully to the family. All in all, I was very impressed with the accomodations, the property and its vicinity to the Point Au Roche State Park. Will definitely stay here again in the off-season."
