"The staff were excellent and parking was very good. It was a short 20 minute walk to Gibraltar. The outside of the building was being renovated at one end away from us and the elevator was out of service for about 1 hour over a two day stay."

"Although we were aware that the hotel was closing we still expected 4 star accommodation as that is what we paid for. The pool and terrace area were in a very bad state of disrepair and the pool area unusable. We asked for an upgrade to a sea view as there road works at the front of the building and therefore noisy but were told ( 6 hrs after asking and having to ask again)that no rooms were available although the hotel was clearly far from busy. "We stayed here back in July and loved it, so this was a return visit. First night wasn't so good. The hotel had shut down the air conditioning for the winter season. We were given a top floor room with a balcony. Even with the patio door open all night, the room didn't cool and stayed at 23 Deg C. Way too warm for us to sleep, plus the outside noise too.
