Booked last minute for this lovely Cotswold hotel. Quietly located with good amenities around, it was worth the stay. On arrival there was a roaring open fire in the bar and a log burner on the go near reception. There is a coffee and cake shop in reception, which looked great.
The bar was well stocked and comfortable and the restaurant is recommended.... the black lamb curry was particularly good. Breakfast included was great. A small buffet and cooked hot breakfast(pre ordered by 11pm).
The room was clean and comfortable, lots of windows and a good size bathroom. Plenty of tea and coffee but a tiny kettle.
The decor in the corridors/stair areas was a bit dated and stair carpet worn through in at least one area.... some staining of a leak on the ceiling in a first floor central seating area was evident. These let the place down a bit.
The staff were fantastic.
Definitely worth a stay again.
