"The property is nice but you will need some type of transportation to get around with ease. The internet service is not stable. There is construction during the week around the area. The streets are not paved. I like the property for the quietness and rooftop pools available. You have a great view of the coastline from the rooftops. Great place to see the sunrise and sunsets. "

"This is a nice quiet part of Tulum yet walkable i’m close to lots of stuff. The hotel staff was really communicative through ‎WhatsApps and was very accommodating. Our room was lovely very quiet nice balcony very decent kitchen. Would come back."

"We had a great stay over Christmas at Casa de Piedra. Hugo is an excellent host and had great suggestions for dining in downtown Tulum. The property is very interesting architecturally, is spacious, clean and has all the advertised amenities. "

"I would have had a better stay but the electrical plug in the Kitchen was disfunctional making a loud popping noise the entire time i was there. The room was clean however my bedsheets were dirty or stained upon arival. When i notified staff they changed the sheets but not the comforter. I slept on pool towels. The comforter smelled like dog and had some pet hairs on the bed. I was eventually moved to another room on my last night but that room needed some painting especially in the bathroom....

"Wonderful little place to stay! Would recommend for those not looking for something to fancy. Many taco stands right by as well as restaurants and bars. Gates get locked at night so very safe amd pretty quiet. Wonderful helpful staff! Warm water and a decent breakfast was included. :)"

"The property itself was small but charming, the rooms/suites were large and the backyard was spacious as well with a private pool (a bit chilly as there is not much sun in the back). "The entertainment team (Antonio and Lizbeth particularly) at grand Coba kept us engaged over Christmas and New year with all the activities. The house keeping service provided by Samuel was outstanding. Food at the buffets and all restaurants were excellent. We were totally looked after by all of the attentive staff, and Jose kept the glasses filled. Thoroughly recommend the resort for multigenerational holidays, keeping everyone from teen boys to the golden oldies happy for 2 weeks."

"Beautiful property. My room view was amazing. Aside from having 7 restaurants, nightly entertainment, spa, gardens, beach, wildlife, in the end my most memorable moments came through interactions with resort staff. Everyone we encountered always had a smile, was respectful and helpful. The restaurant staff was wonderdul. I want to especially thank and recognize the fine gentlemen at preferred breakfast at Portofino. They are Rene, Javier, and Edgar. Their excellent service and kindness left an impression. In the café I would like to thank and recognize Luis and Jessica for their latte skills and warm welcoming smiles. Last but not least, our highly skilled resort photographer Tania. She captured such timeless and priceless moments for us. My wife and I would like to thank you all for making our stay at Dreams Tulum a real life dream. We hope to see you all again soon. "I would definitely come here again. Food, drinks, & pools all exceeded my expectations. I’d never heard of this place & knew no one who’d visited before. So I was blown away by how well everything was done. The grounds were perfectly manicured. Nothing looked forgotten about. Every square foot had a purpose, even the natural areas. Whoever manages this property has done a magnificent job. Also, find Hugo for some impressive drink selections!"

Barceló Maya Riviera - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"We have stayed at both ends of the Barcelo and have enjoyed both. The palace end is better if you want to snorkel with the turtles. The adults only, definitely has a better buffet and is more spacious. There is definitely not a bad choice among the 6 resorts. The biggest difference you will notice is dining out. If you stay at the riviera/adults you can make reservations at any restaurant. If you stay at the palace you can dine out at any restaurant except the adults only. The adults only side is very large so be prepared for a long walk depending on where your room is. Our room was at the beach end on the back side which was very quiet and secluded. We still had an ocean view although you had to look past an old dilapidated resort that was in ruins. The room we had was nice but could have used a little sprucing up. The bed was comfortable and HUGE ( I actually measured it and it was approximately 8’4” wide ). We like the ocean and the beach so we never got in the pool but they looked very nice. The staff is super nice and helpful. We never had to stand in line to eat at the buffet and the resort was very full during our visit between Christmas and New Year’s. All in all we would highly recommend staying here. "
