"The hotel is located in a great area for touristy activities and is a beautiful property. Unfortunately, Brussels streets are filthy and people are smoking in every doorway, so cigarette butts are everywhere. "Ibis is a great budget hotel at a great location in Brussels. It was right next to the train station which made getting to and from there easy both from the airport, and traveling by domestic or international train. The rooms were quite small and the area outside was sometimes noisy if you left the window open, but it was cheap, clean and within walking distance of everything we needed in brussels. The staff was very helpful and helped us extend out stay easily."

"I debated about the rating for this hotel due to problems we encountered. On our first night, the a/c cut out. Unfortunately, I had to get up early for a tour so not much sleep. I was exhausted the next day which caused us to cut short our tour of Antwerp. Second night, after getting into bed early bc so tired, the fire alarm on our floor went off. We jumped out of bed, got dressed and went downstairs. Fortunately, it was not a real fire and the alarm did not go off again. Despite these events, we found the hotel was in an excellent location - steps from the Central Rail station which takes you anywhere you want to go, including the airport to fly home; steps to Grand Place, and a short walk to Brussels Park. Hotel staff is excellent, kind, responsive, and apologetic. However, would have appreciated receiving points to our Hilton account for the inconveniences. We opted out of housecleaning and received free drink vouchers which we appreciated. The room and bathroom arelarge. Excellent toiletries. Pretty good for eco-consciousness- no plastic water bottles, no small toiletries. But needed a place for our recyclable trash and water to refill our bottles (expected this to be in the lobby). Overall, I highly recommend this hotel despite the problems we encountered. "
