Beach Hotels in Bois Blanc Island, Michigan

"Nice place for vacationing "

"Our group consisted myself and my wife, my oldest son and wife, two grown grandsons and one girl friend. At my wife's suggestion, I rented two rooms, one for the men, the other for the women. It was a great decision. The men's 4th floor room faced the beach (I think nearly all rooms face the beach.) It consisted of one king, one queen and a queen couch in two separate sleeping areas and two TVs. Nice! Out in the porch, I could see three fire pits with wood fires actively burning ready for hotdogs or somemores. (Nice). The king I slept in was very comfortable (nice nice); the bath was clean and very functional. I loved the fact that when I rose early and was thr first to shower (6AM), there was no wait for hot water, obviously because this motel was built with hotwater circulating pumps (very nice!). The other men took showers before bed and did not leave a dry towel; I'm not sure there were 4 towels to begin with, so advise checking this if you have many people sharing the room. I got up early to watch the sun rise over Lake Huron, and the quickly changing view of the ferry landings with the Mackinaw bridge in the background. A great time for prayer and meditation. Though the sand on the beach is mixed with small stones and the water's edge was rocky and not the best place for swimming, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would gladly stay there again!"

"The property was in relatively good shape. Rooms are small, and view from room was not interesting. However, we did not go there to spend time in the hotel room. The hotel is in a great location. Convenient to walking from ferry and the shops downtown. We ate breakfast at 1892 and dinner one night at Ice House BBQ on site. Both were great. The front porch and lawn offer great view of the marina and harbor."

"Everything was super clean and check in was easy! The private beach was nice and so was the indoor pool. It was kinda cold when we stayed so we kept to the heated indoor pool more. There was a ton of stuff to do in walking distance and we even shuttled from the hotel to the ferry! The only thing is the bathroom was a little small and kinda dark but that didn’t really bother me too much. Overall this’ll probably be my go to hotel when I come back! "

"Property was very clean. Beds comfortable. Location to ferry was great. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Staff was friendly. They had a wonderful gentleman named Sid who had a knack for showing up at the exact right time to provide an enclosed golf cart ride to lobby/ breakfast. Would definitely stay again "
