There is one great restaurant that I know of in the area (Tamarack) and a great cafe (Chocolate Moose). Would also have liked to try The Dish Cafe and Dobra Zupas. Loved the coal mine exhibition. Highly recommend a tour there.

Love the area. Have family that lives in Beckley , Alderson and Morgantown. Went snow tubing at Winter Place ski resort. Best in the state!! We'll be back!

I am a native son of Beckley. It is a shame that economic circumstances has turned the town of Beckley into a governmental enclave without any downtown businesses. The job the National Park Service is doing with the 4H lake and Grandview is shameful.

There were no upscale restaurants so that was disappointing. plenty of everyday options for dining so if you are not looking for a romantic dinner, you'll be fine staying here.

Restaurants in area were inexpensive for a reason. Quality food not really available and service at restaurants subpar.
"Brand new hotel. Everything was perfect. Except, the hallway a/c was hot at 76° or more at times. The breakfast people were on top of everything. Never a mess spotted for more than a few seconds after someone left their mess in the table. The outside area was nice to relax. Indoor was nice. Lobby decor was very chic and clean. I wish I took more pictures. Definitely added to my list of favorite hotels to visit when I drive through again."
