Great hotel and about a 5 minute drive to the University of Michigan. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the hotel is a bit dated and the gym could use some new equipment. Staff was great and within driving distance to shopping as well.

Very nice property, much better than I expected. The property is a bit dated, the phone in the rooms the decor amenities looks like well I'll throw back to 15 years ago. 15 years ago probably a very updated Hotel. That said it was very clean, the Linens excellent and the staff very professional. The location is excellent for visiting Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti area. I will come back. The only suggestion in many were commenting at the breakfast offered, the commons area is very small and multiple people stacked up waiting to get the food. So much congested the people questioned whether it was healthy they have so many people packed in a small area trying to line up for food and eat. Highly suggest they reconfigure the breakfast area by removing the walls to the small lobby area to open it up. Seriously a health hazard. Many people were commenting about it.

It didn't get the 5 stars because: 1) when I book the room, it didn't disclose a $20 dollar deposit that will cover damage to the room. The water bottles if you drink them, each cost $1 dollar. The mattress wasn't the best. The one I slept on kind of sink and the next morning my lower back was sore.The tv didnt tune a channel right away, it took a while and weird because it was cable tv. it could be an option if you can find something else.

Erika, the gal who was working the breakfast area, was fantastic. People were getting impatient waiting for eggs and sausages, but she kept her cool and friendliness. Everyone who worked here was so helpful and friendly. The rooms and hotel itself was a little dated, but everything was clean and working and in good condition. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and it was nice having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. We had the king room and it was roomy. We would definitely stay here again.
