"This is not what I thought. The staff have a hard time with communication. The room was dusty with spiders. I was put in the bottom level with a parking lot view. The castle was not busy. Sauna was nice and the pool was nice. Food was really good. "

"Stayed here with the family. We thought this would be a fun break from our travels to swim and do the rock climbing wall but you need advance reservations for the wall. And the pool is just a lap pool. There were lots of kids there for sports camps. We couldn’t wait to check out and move on. "

"It is a particular style of decor throughout the Landhaus (everything about knights, and middle ages - all fake etc) that isn't appealing to me. The room was on the ground floor, you couldn't open the curtain or the window because everyone could look into our room and it was somewhat stuffy. I would not have taken this room if I had an option. A very regulated place: rules over rules."

"A very pleasant place to stay in a lovely town. Our room had a delightful view of the Ostsee and was most comfortable. I wish it had tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but never mind. The attached bar - the Rockeria - is a bit like a TGI Fridays, with the same varied levels of service you’d get there! One guy looked like he’d rather we weren’t there, and another - Marco - went way out of his way to make sure we were happy."

"The location is terrific, right in the middle of town and near the harbor. There wasn't any free parking for the hotel (their lot is under construction) but they offered a discount on a local garage and street parking is free at night. "I have a disabled child who needs his own room (I am the only one allowed to sleep with him as his carer) as he will not go to sleep otherwise.
