"Someone obviously put a lot of care into building this place and in cultivating the gardens and grounds, it's really lovely. The concierge, Ricardo goes above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating, he's wonderful. Having said that, he's also a bit short staffed so things are a bit untidy-the gardens need attention, the lobby isn't always picked up but the beauty and tranquility of the location and the pleasant but simple rooms make it worthwhile. "Bathrooms could improve a lot from adding some hooks or shelves to leave your stuff. Tje third shower was located within a toilet which is quite unhygienic and unpleasant in my opinion. The hostel does however have its charm. "

"Great views over the lake, spacious rooms and Alpacas roaming the grounds. We had a nice stay, the rooms can be little cold as the window seals aren’t great (we were there on a windy night). It is a little further from town than I expected but a taxi to the Main Street is only 10 Bolivianos. Staff were friendly and provided detailed info about the area. "

"Check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. WiFi was workable. The "curtain" was not as wide as the window, and this should be addressed. Breakfast was adequate. There are plenty of restaurants within a very short walk. I feel that I paid a fair price for our room, and so I would be happy to stay there again."

"We were greeted by name by our hostess, Señora Domitila, as we walked up to Casa de Luna... it is quite a hike from the port with multiple stops to rest due to the altitude. Go straight up and to the right (multiple times) and ask a few people where Casa de la Luna is on the way. The hotel is beautiful with a stunning view of the lake. Our room was large and comfortable. "We had an incredible stay at this hotel! The staff were exceptionally attentive and caring, always going out of their way to ensure our experience was enjoyable. Their warm smiles and genuine hospitality made every moment of our stay truly delightful. Even when we unexpectedly got stuck in the elevator (an issue beyond the hotel’s control), they responded promptly and went above and beyond by sending a thoughtful plate of appetizers to our room as an apology. We are deeply grateful to the entire team for their kindness and professionalism. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the vibrant and unique city of La Paz, Bolivia. "

"Beautiful hotel, room, service from the staff and amenities! Unfortunately I got sick due to altitude and the hotel, besides some local herb infusions, didn’t have any medication to help fight the sickness. I understand they don’t want to be responsible for any contraindications or side effects but they should have medication available and simply have the guest sign a release of liability. The hotel is far away from any pharmacy so more than herbal choices should be made available "
