"Could not recommend this accommodation enough - a real hidden gem! Massive, secure 2 bedroom apartment in a wider bunkhouse complex which was, when we stayed, not occupied. Only 5 mins drive from Kirriemuir and so quiet and peaceful - in the heart of the countryside. Comms were great and all mod cons throughout including WiFi, TVs in all rooms and even a starter hamper! Will definitely book again. The dog loved the outdoor space which is literally ‘on your doorstep’! A+"

"Amazing cliff top sea views gorgeous empty beach. Quirky accommodation with all you need for a short stay. Host was a very friendly and helpful guy. We went by train but a car would be beneficial as although not far from the village it's a little remote with unlit dirt tracks probably ok in summer but not recommended coming home from the village pub in the dark. "A great pub stopover. Stayed here for one night whilst working in the area. Nothing at all to complain about. Staff were really friendly and made you feel welcome. Food was good, Both evening meal and breakfast. At the time of my visit the accommodation was being redecorated which gave the place a more modern feel. "It was a beautiful space, with a lot of extra touches-they left lights on and heating do when we checked in it was warm and welcoming. They had everything you could think of and a nice sized kitchen. We thought it might be noisy but the accommodation is actually over the road from the pub and has stunning views! Lots of local beautiful walks. Food was amazing in the anchor hotel-we had a family meal of 15 and the service was amazing and the meal was one of the best I’ve had! "

"Lovely night away, room was on small side and was a bit tired but very clean. Nice toiletries and a jar of sweeties was a lovely touch on the tea tray. Comfortable bed and loved the lift, old fashioned but it worked, great to have in the Hotel. Breakfast was really good as was the lovely staff. Will go back.again as it has been decorated in most places and looks so lovely outside. "
