Western Iceland 3 Stars Hotels

"Excellent location if you have a car. Not good if need public transportation. Bus service is bad on weekends especially Sunday. We waited 40 minutes for a bus on Sunday. We had to use taxis which were quite expensive. "

"Wonderful stay, we utilized the shared kitchen and laundry room areas, they were clean and well kept. We had an emergency for which we had to contact the guesthouse manager, Ingi, at 12AM, and he picked up and helped us. Overall, staff was amazing and place was very neat, would stay here again!"

"The good: the breakfast was fantastic; parking was convenient; the beds were comfortable; hotel staff very kind; check-in and check-out very fast and easy The 'meh': not at walking distance from downtown (we had a car so we didn't care, but without it, it would've been inconvenient); it was a tad too hot in the room; no room service for stays up to 5 days - the say they're doing it for the environment, but they could at least sweep the floors with a broom (that's carbon neutral!)"

"This is the 3rd year in a row that we have visited which soeak for itself. This is an absolute gem and we were lucky to see the Nothern Lights 2 days in a row from the hot tub. The only things that would make it even better is if the outside lights were on a sensor so that you can enjoy the lights even more. As the area by the back is lit up so much you are missing out on the true beauty of the lights when they are visible. The showers get really wet, we stayed in 3 different rooms and had this...

"Great hotel in a quiet part of the island. This was a nice jumping off point for touring the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Nice facilities. The cabins are very comfortable!"

"I got my rental car broken into and my property stolen on the second to last night I was there. Has nothing to do with Bolholt I’m just saying be careful if you do stay here don’t leave anything in your car. Nice rooms comfortable and clean, 5 minute drive into the main part of the city."
