"We absolutely loved Fishermen’s village, and booking through Orbitz was so easy and amazing. The property had everything you could want for a cozy, quiet stay not far from Reykjavik. It was very easy to drive to the city but you didn’t feel like you were in the heart of things. The hotel itself is very new and sparkly clean. The bed and linen are beautiful, the bathroom is high quality and I loved a smell of handwash :) Friendly staff, especially Irena. "Stayed in small camping pod and loved it. Loved the atmosphere there. Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "

It is however an incredibly old house, which means you can hear everything - made us very aware of any noise we made - talking, walking, etc. Very glad we stayed here as was a very unique property, just something to keep in mind as felt very aware of any sounds we made.
