"Gorgeous property with a palace, surrounding beautiful grounds and a huge lake. There are too many features to list. The highlight of the trip was the abundant wildlife in the property grounds. We saw peacocks, owlets, gray langurs and many others. We stayed at the retail suite in the palace and it was a wonderful experience. "Good hotel for the price, and—they’re not kidding—it’s an amazing view of the Fort. Helpful staff, and very conveniently located. Just a couple minutes walk to the clock tower and the main markets, even if the few roads right around it are decidedly unlovely. Only complaint: they have local musicians and dancing every night at dinnertime. Nice for 5 minutes, but if you’re like me and just want to enjoy a drink and quietly enjoy the view, it’s pretty annoying to have to attend a show each...

However, the rooms themselves are very basic, very run down and not very clean. After they checked me in and gave me my room, they later told me I shouldn't be in an AC room and they would charge me extra. I refused, pointing out I was simply in the room they gave me. "This feels like a harsh rating, after seeing so many high ratings, but I was pretty disappointed with my stay here. I visited many other Havelis in Jodhpur, to eat at their rooftop restaurants, and all of them were cleaner, had more staff working, and had other people staying there. "Beautiful heritage hotel in a central location, with lovely lounge area and amazing rooftop terrace with view of fort. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Negatives are it was quite noisy as centrally located, and food was ok but not amazing. Would stay again! "
