"We spent 5 days in Tamarindo and really liked the Best Western. We had a small balcony, but didn't use that so much as the upstairs patio area that was near the pool. We could catch a breeze there when it was hot and in general it was a nice comfortable space to hang out when we weren't doing something outside the hotel area. Visitors should be aware that on Friday nights, there is a very loud party with music that does on until about 2 AM. We were not made aware of this until we arrived but it...

"This hotel felt more like a hostel BUT it was still very nice. Private room with bathroom and great AC. Staff was super friendly and helpful when we had questions. Great location - pretty centrally located. You only had ~10 min walk any direction to get to the “end” of the where there were shops, beaches, and dining/bars. Would absolutely stay here again if we revisited Tamarindo!"

"A beautiful oasis close to all the action of Tam. Staff were excellent and accommodating. Rooms were extra clean, patio with hammock was heaven. Pool area was quiet but allowed for chats with other guests. Would definitely recommend and will stay again."

"Hotel Bosque del Mar is an immaculately maintained small/medium-sized property that sits right on the beach in Playa Hermosa. The staff here were very friendly and provided lots of information for us before and during our trip, anytime we requested it. They even helped us book a 1/2 day snorkeling excursion that picked us up directly from our hotel. "The front desk clerk allowed is to check in early which was an excellent bonus after having arrived earlier on a red eye. The hotel was undergoing an upgrade so construction was happening but it really wasn’t as important as getting a room and some rest. The room itself was clean and hotel location near Walmart and outside of town was handy. We would return."
