Simply outstanding, super clean hotel with an exceptional staff. Located in the best part of Dotombori in Osaka, it’s a quiet area with lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. Less than a five-minute walk from the Glico Man. The hotel provides all basic toiletries free of charge. The hallways are quiet and have a dark theme; the room itself is also slightly dim compared to most hotels, but brightens up once the blinds are open. For me, the location couldn’t be better—I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Osaka.

Starting with the positive, the facility itself looked nice and clean. There is a lobby/lounge area away from the concierge desk where you can sit and play pool. Hotel was very affordable and it is very convenient in regards to being very close to dotonbori. Here is the disclaimer though for the surrounding area. The 1-2 block radius around the hotel itself is fine, but as you cross the big intersection towards dotonburi, thats when the nightlife and "risque" or "shady" color of the neighborhood is apparent. Much like shinjuku in Tokyo, this area is very tame during the daytime, but once night hits, it's completely different. I would advise consideration of these points if traveling with family or young children. Points were deducted from this review mainly due to the room itself. The room hallways were darker than i thought necessary but aesthetics are subjective. Room itself looked ok, nothing special, a bit small but was expected. The problem however is the bathroom. There was a terrible sewage smell in the bathroom that was unbearable. I had to go to the concierge desk to ask for a room change. They seemed nonchalant about the bathroom smell but did change me to another room on another floor right away. New room was exact copy of my pevious but just on a different floor. No weird smell in the new room. Overall, i was satisfied, not amazed or impressed but it was an affordable hotel ro that was decent. Only negative was the room smell and the need to switch rooms.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Staff are 10/10. The upkeep of the hotel is stylish and very modern. Best buffet breakfast too. Their fresh croissants rival those of Paris. My only criticism is the “gym”. Add some weights.

This seems like a new hotel. I really loved the location which was right in the heart of everything. I was traveling with my brother and his family so we booked two rooms. I was a little irked that my brother's room was upgraded but mine was not, especially since I booked and paid for the rooms. Although the hotel seems new, there was something weird about the way the carpet squares were laid out next to the bed. There were big gaps between the carpet tiles which made the floor sticky. It was very helpful to have a washer/dryer combo unit in the room, although it was not obviously placed in our room. It was hidden behind a roller shade. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the lighting is dim in the guest rooms. Not only is the lighting dim, but the dark colors of the walls and wood make it seem even darker. There is a nice outdoor courtyard to sit in a visit with friends and family. I would definitely stay here again. I just hope they fix that carpet in the room.

Just don't...its not worth it....
Usually I take a very optomistic view of review posted and try to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt but the reviews of this hotel is pretty spot on and consistent with reviews I've read before arriving and my own experience. The hotel location was the ONLY positive about this hotel. Customer service was a hit and miss depending on staff but previous reviews of one particular staff member is accurate (not going to name names in this post) which made the experience and encounter rather unpleasant. The worst part of this hotel is how dark it is. It's really dark throughout the hotel, hallways and hotel room. The walls are painted in dark colours, the lighting is insufficient throughout the hotel and in the hotel room and the walls are thins so you can hear all the action going on in the rooms above and beside you. I would not book this hotel again even though the location was fantastic.
