Wrigley Mansion featuring city views, mountains and a city

This former private mansion is now a private club that is open to all, offering stunning views, beautiful surroundings, delicious meals and fantastic cocktails.

Wrigley Mansion is a beautiful stately home, which perfectly preserves the elegant tradition in which it was made. Sitting on La Colina Solana (“small sunny hill” in Spanish), the mansion commands an exquisite view across the Valley of the Sun. Today, anyone can visit this former private residence, which houses a restaurant and lounge club.

The mansion was built in the early 1930s by chewing gum magnate, William Wrigley Jr., and it stands as an excellent example of the opulence of the time. A mix of architectural styles, including California Monterey, Spanish and Mediterranean, combine to make this extensive property, with 24 rooms and no fewer than 12 private bathrooms, completely unique. The mansion remained in private hands until 1992, when Geordie Hormel purchased it with a view to making it accessible to all and sharing the beauty of this magnificent property. Extensive renovation restored the building as well as its gardens to their former glory, and today, anyone can visit Wrigley Mansion.

Because of licensing laws, the mansion operates as a private members’ club, but the membership fee is very low and can be paid on the door, so don’t let that put you off a visit to this exquisite location. The restaurant and lounge here are open from Wednesdays to Saturdays—enjoy cocktails with finger food during Happy Hour, or fine-dining at night in Geordie’s Restaurant & Lounge.

The grounds here are extensive and have been lovingly restored—join one of the Tour and Lunch packages to make the most of the beautiful surroundings.

The mansion is located near Piestewa Peak Park, northeast of central Phoenix. Valet parking is available in the extensive grounds.
