"I like waking up with the sound of the birds, not like from the noise that one experience in town. Its isolation makes it more nice as a place to relax from all the fatigue of stresses and hotness. The lodge is really a place one can go just to relax for two or three days. I took game driving about was not really satisfied as we did not see many animals but the driver was really good and have a best customer service one could offer. "

"It is the oldest private game preserve, and it shows. Wrinkled pictures in frames filled with dead bugs, the yard needs a serious clean. That being said the bar/dinner area is quite lovely. Game drive vehicles are ancient. (One hour drive is R450, which seems really steep). I stayed at one of the ‘chalets’. As basic as it gets. Room was large clean & comfortable, the garden & terrace a real oasis & dinner was delicious! And only a ten minute transfer to the airport (at5am) with the genial owner. When I arrived (late at night) the property owner greeted me with a half desire to check me in. She told me it wasn’t safe to have my windows open at night even though it’s in a gated compound.
