"Very comfortable rooms in a stylish complex set in a secure compound. There is a dining courtyard beside the adjacent Mercure Hotel which is a pleasant place to sit and relax. The hotel is a little inconveniently located, though, and you'd need a car or to take taxis to get into the city centre. Also, be aware that it is not beside the main international airport, but next to a domestic terminal catering to Cessnas and the like. "It is the oldest private game preserve, and it shows. Wrinkled pictures in frames filled with dead bugs, the yard needs a serious clean. That being said the bar/dinner area is quite lovely. Game drive vehicles are ancient. (One hour drive is R450, which seems really steep). I stayed at one of the ‘chalets’. As basic as it gets.
