Beautiful property, we had a complimentary upgrade and the room was amazing. We felt right at home, had all the amenities you need. The property itself felt quiet and relaxing yet had everything you need close by(5-10 minute walk). Staff was excellent and helped with all our check in/check out needs. Will definitely be back in the future

What a gem of a place. So special To be able to stay in one of the historical properties in the district and be able to walk to all the sights. So many excellent dining options within a block. Loved every minute of the stay.

The hotel is a private large old Dutch colonial . It has an artsy flavor inside and out . There is a pool . Two three very good restaurants are in 3 min walk . Thatā€™s about it . The water in our shower was so hot , and it was not possible to regulate it . We complained but it did not change . There is no real blankets , just a bed cover , which was slippery off the bedsheet. The bed in our room was not very comfortable . They have no receptionist on duty past 11 am . They have cleaning ladies, which stay till 4 pm , they gave us shampoo after we asked for it . Shampoo is a basic stuff even in 2 star hotels. The property has a huge front yard and the tables but because no one is at the hotel to give you a drink and food if you ask - you are on your own . Overall - for 2 nights it was ok , but I would not choose it to come back .

Great boutique hotel. Several excellent restaurants within 500 feet walking. Wonderful pool. Rooms are classic Curacao. Wonderful staff. No restaurant or bar on premises.

This is a lovely house that has stylish decor in a shabby chic style. It is located near a few good restaurants and walkable into town. The beds have good quality linen. But itā€™s not really a hotel. There are cleaners that service your room but otherwise not much staff or service. Other reviews mention breakfast but thatā€™s not on offer. They donā€™t actually have milk to make coffee. The property is also on Airbnb and I think that is more appropriate. Itā€™s a nice place if you are comfortable with an Airbnb type arrangement but if you were hoping for hospitality and service itā€™s not ideal.

This was a gem of a find for us. The owners and staff are lovely, helpful, and kind. The building is unique, beautiful, and feels both private and quiet but is within walking distance to great restaurants and shops. It was a great choice for us because we preferred something with more character and quaintness than a large resort. ThƩ villa looks strikingly beautiful when lit up at night. We will truly miss it. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning is also peaceful and a great way to start the day.

Lovely boutique hotel in Willemstad.
Wonderful building, dating from the 1880's--has a bog, open, spacious feel, and the rooms are very comfortable. 20 minute to the center of town, and our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We would stay there again!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Villa Tokara! The suite we stayed in was beautifully and tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The villa is in a very walkable area and central to many restaurants, bars, and shopping. It is equally suitable for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Our host, Arrien, was extremely delightful and helpful!

Great boutique hotel (really the only one of its kind in Willemstad)---beautiful decor, friendly service, attention to detail (Rituals toiletries, robes, peshtemal beach towels), private pool, delicious breakfast. Good dinner and drinks options nearby. Only slight con was loud music at night---bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Great, family run hotel in a historic villa. Close to the beach and restaurants. Short drive from Hato airport. Room was lovely and the owner was very personable. If we're back in Curacao we'll definitely stay at Villa Tokara again.

This place was a gem! We ended up extending. Itā€™s like staying at a colonial villa, and there are only a few other guest rooms on the property. A couple indoors, and two in the back in separate buildings. Super cool decor, amenities and walking distance to the city, without the noise. We felt like we got it almost to ourselves as there are hardly other guest rooms. The pool is big and clean! Strongly recommend this place.

Wij verbleven in de zeer ruime suite op de bovenste verdieping. Deze was erg stijlvol ingericht. Er is een fijne zwembad, die wij meestal voor onszelf hadden. Het is op 20 minuten lopen van de Pontjesbrug gelegen. Wil je lekker uit eten, dan kan dat uitstekend bij diverse restaurants die niet meer dan 5 minuten wandelen liggen. Al het personeel is erg vriendelijk en denkt met de gast mee.

Villa Tokara is een prachtlocatie. Zeer smaakvol ingericht. Prachtig gebouw met hele mooie tuin en groot zwembad. Keurig onderhouden. Ligging tov Punda is prima. Op wandelafstand. Echt een aanrader. Het ontbijt was keurig; al had er gezien de prijs best - ipv 1 - een extra eitje op t bord mogen liggen.

Sehr persƶnliche Betreuung. Viel Zeit fĆ¼r Informationen und Tips fĆ¼r die Insel (SehenswĆ¼rdigkeiten, StrƤnde, gute Restaurants). Schƶne Einrichtung mit Kunst und im karibischen Stil. Schƶner Pool. Tolle Terrasse zum FrĆ¼hstĆ¼ck. EigentĆ¼mer vermietet selber auch Autos was sehr praktisch ist. Zwar etwas teurer aber bessere Autos und sehr gepflegt. Viele gute bis sehr gute Restaurants sind zu FuƟ erreichbar. Einige (4) weniger als 100 m. Wir haben Ć¼berall sehr lecker gegessen.
