Visit this Arabian folklore-themed water park for a fun-filled family day out.

Wild Wadi water park is situated underneath the impressive Burj Al Arab sail-shaped hotel on Jumeirah Beach Road. Whatever your adrenaline levels, there is something to suit you among the 30 different rides and attractions that Wild Wadi has to offer. The water park theme is based on a tale of Arabian folklore, "The legend of Juha", a character who, along with Sinbad the Sailor, travelled around the world, sailing the high seas.

Undoubtedly Wild Wadi's most exciting ride is the Jumeirah Sceirah. Riders must ascend a 32-metre tall tower and enter a transparent chamber. Adrenaline increases as an automatic countdown commences. At "zero" a trap door suddenly opens, propelling riders down almost 12 metres of water slide at a staggering 80 kph. With two slides side by side, riders can compete to see who comes out first. Not for the faint hearted!

If that's too thrilling for you, head over to The Wipeout and Riptide Flow Riders and put your body-boarding and surfing skills to the test. Powerful long-lasting waves are created by wave machines that blast out approximately 7 tonnes of water per second.

Juha's Journey offers some respite from all the speed rides. A long lazy river, measuring 360 metres will see you jump on an inflatable ring and enjoy a drift along this peaceful and relaxing cruise. Juha's Dhow and Lagoon is a family fun play area with lots of activities to keep children entertained, with slides, water cannons and dumping buckets. So, whether you want your water adventure to set your pulse racing or if the more tranquil leisurely pace is your preference there are rides and attractions for all the family here, both young and old.

Wadi Washed is an exciting choreographed light, sound and water show that takes place at the entrance to the park. A 7-minute performance sees about 60,000 tonnes of water splash down a cliff face against a backdrop of thunder and lightning.

Wild Wadi is open 7 days a week, however closing times differ throughout the year so make sure to visit the park's website for further details. During the last 2 hours before the park closes, ticket prices are reduced. Wild Wadi has free parking and is approximately 30 minutes by car from Dubai International Airport.
