Choose one of three guided tours to explore the invention and ingenuity behind blockbuster films and beloved TV shows.
Zip around the 110-acre (44-hectare) back lot in an open-air tram, hosted by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. No two tours of this working studio are the same tour guides will often adjust routes and make frequent stops for photo opportunities with familiar street corners and iconic vistas. Note that with movies and shows frequently in production, photography may not be allowed in some areas.
Focus on golden-age outputs such as Casablanca with the Classics Tour, which includes a short film about the history of Warner Brothers and a walk-through of the costume and prop archives. On the Studio Tour, marvel at the DC Universe exhibit, receive a Hogwarts House assignment from Harry Potter’s Sorting Hat and ogle Batmobiles in the Bat Cave. Head to Stage 48: Script to Screen, where a self-guided exhibit explains everything from casting to green screens.
Snap photos and enjoy coffee on the set of Friends’ Central Perk, now a functioning café. Stop at the gift shop to pick up souvenirs, such as a wizarding wand or a mug from Gilmore Girls’ famous Luke’s diner.
The Deluxe Tour includes everything on the Studio Tour, plus complimentary pastries and coffee, a historical film, access to the Props and Costumes Departments and lunch at the Commissary. Watch for famous actors, writers and directors meeting to discuss projects over gourmet food.
Allow 3 hours for a Studio or Classic tour and 5 hours for a Deluxe tour at Warner Brothers Studio. Tours operate daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas and are available in English, Spanish, French and Mandarin. American Sign Language interpreters may be requested in advance. Parking is available for a fee near the visitor’s entrance. Public buses serve the studio as well.
